In addition to his primary degree in Philosophy (Mental and Moral Science, Trinity College Dublin, 1957-1961), Neville Keery has Master degrees in Economics (M.Sc.Econ, TCD, 1981) and Film Studies (MA, National University of Ireland, University College Dublin, 2004).

Retired since 2001, Neville Keery enjoyed career experience in the United Kingdom, his native Dublin, and Brussels, Belgium.

In 2003, Neville Keery won the Francis Ledwidge Poetry Award.
In 2005 he was selected to participate in the Poetry Ireland New Voices series of readings.
His work has appeared in anthologies, including Our Shared Japan (Dedalus, 2007).

His three collections of poetry have been published by Hinds Publishing, Turnings (1999), Home, Poems 1999-2006 (2007) and Memoir, Poems 2007-2016 (2017).

In 2016 he was elected a Vice-President of the Dublin University Metaphysical Society.

His memoir, Forever Beginning, was published on this website in 2017.

On 11 October 2017, “1972: Ireland Votes for Change” was launched in UCC Library. This exhibition marked the 45th anniversary of the three referendums, “Into Europe”, “Article 44” and “Votes at 18” and drew primarily from material in the the Keery Papers archive in the Boole Library.

In November 2017 Neville Keery accepted an invitation to become a member of the Engagement and Participation Working Group of the Irish Media Literacy Network.
